Poets' Corners In Foreign Fields: A Guide To Literary Graves In Military Cemeteries

The idea for this book came from a friend of ours asked for advice regarding visiting the graves of some of the poets killed during the First World War, I sent him the list I have been compiling since 2016 but Paul, my editor and publisher, suggested it might be easier if the information was in book form.

This is very much an on-going project. I only began researching forgotten poets of WW1 in 2016 for an exhibition of those involved in The Somme Offensive and for this particular section of the project, I still need to go back and find those who were killed during 1914 and 1915.

Aviator Poets & Writers Of WW1: A Centenary Collection Compiled by Lucy London

The idea for an exhibition of poets who were in the Royal Flying Corps and Royal Naval Air Service during the First World War, came from a conversation I had with Marilyn Summers, who is the Air Show Deputy Director at Royal Air Force Cosford.

This book is a compilation of the exhibits that I produced for that exhibition and other interesting aviation material that I had previously gathered together.

I think it makes a fitting tribute on the 100th anniversary of the forming of the RAF from the RFC and the RNAS in 1918.
